Our teachers are voting your journals and everyone says that is really difficult to choose, all of them are special, unique and marvellous. They also say that you have made a great effort and that you should be proud of yourselves. I think the same...


I will continue uploading more pictures because I consider them amazing

Thank you all for following the blog posts and your support from Spain! Everyone was a bit sad to leave Dublin behind but we will carry our experiences with us forever. Here is the second part of the group of the day we spent in Howth....It was such a lovely day...for many that was one of the best excursions...


Today we visited Glendalough, which means the valley between two lakes, in Irish of course. The reasons are obvious. It was a perfect end to our holiday because we visited a monastery and then we walked to the Lower and Upper lakes.There we had time to put our feet in the water, play football, have lunch and relax.
It has been amazing! And with good weather as you can see in the photos!

Here you have some of the pictures that we took from Howth, that coastal area near Dublin where many Dubliners go to enjoy a good view  of the sea and to have fish and chips... so delicious!!!

Here you have some of the pictures that we took from Howth, that coastal area near Dublin where many Dubliners go to enjoy a good view  of the sea and to have fish and chips... so delicious!!! 
 At the beginnig some of them  were reluctant but once they saw the others enjoy so much they tried and enjoyed as well.

We have been asking them about their favourite excursion and most of them have told us that Howth was the best. You must be wondering yourselves... Why? so simple... because of the weather, today it was a lovely day
(nothing to do with yestarday), because it was an open air excursion in a coastal area, because we had a nice walk up to the hill and because  we had fish and chips.
Believe us, it was great.

]]><![CDATA[May 24th, 2013]]>Fri, 24 May 2013 12:21:52 GMThttp://1esosocialstudies.weebly.com/blog-2013/may-24th-20131Yesterday, we made our way to Dalkey Castle and the surrounding area south of Dublin. Dalkey rose to importance as international shipments arrived to Ireland and the shallow waters around the Liffey River proved difficult to navigate. Residents were forced to create fortified storage houses to protect the goods. After visiting the castle, we walked down to the sea to see Dalkey Island and the surrounding coastline.


So far this morning, the sun is out and we are about to head north to Howth Peninsula. Students just finished class and received their certificates and are now eating before we leave at 2. We will post pictures after our adventures.

The characters were fantastic and the students enjoyed the interaction a lot. We were lucky and we had a really nice cold time but without rain at all. We will upload some more pictures showing the sea and the windy day it was...

Most of them are with one of the groups but don´t worry we´ll upload those from the other group too.


Ah! There are some pictures of Dublinia also.
