NEWS
In this section I am going to include all the material related to our weekly activity of news, what to do, how to do it, how to be assesed and the rubrics you need to assess your classmates.
This is a special activity for the Social Science department. It is based on the search of information and in the way to understand it. In order to do it you must look for a piece of news related to our subject every week. But you must also follow some guidelines that keep the same structure for every year of ESO.
Then, during the second term we will be working on Ted Talks, this is going to be essentially the same but working on videos from this webpage. You will find all the information about in this tab.
We not only expect you to approach to the world by diving in its network of news from the mass media, but also to learn how to extract the information from them. Other of our goals is to stimulate you to share and communicate what you have learnt from the news you have selected.
To complete your activity you must consult the documents that are under the tabs "Supporting documents" and "Handouts". Print them and check with me that you have understood all the information before starting using them.
